Margherita is a legal consultant for GRC, specialising in international humanitarian, criminal and human rights law. She completed her Master of Laws in Italy and her Advanced LL.M at the Geneva Academy of International Humanitarian Law and Human Rights (Magna cum laude). She wrote her LL.M thesis on the UNSC Resolution 2417/2018 and the link between conflicts and hunger. Prior to joining GRC, Margherita has worked with several NGOs working on the prevention of the crime of torture and in providing legal assistance to refugees and asylum seekers in their request for international protection. She worked extensively with victims of torture and sexual gender-based violence and trafficking. Margherita has also interned at the International Criminal Court in The Hague, at the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime and the United Nations Register of Damage caused by the construction of the Wall in the Occupied Palestinian Territory (Vienna).
