GRC invited to participate at the Save the Children Symposium
GRC is excited to participate at the ‘Stop the war on Children’ Symposium organised for the 100 years anniversary of Save the Children. The event will take place on the 16 May at the Peace Palace in The Hague, and it will feature a wide range of high level panelists, to discuss how to uphold IHL standards as well as the impact of starvation on children.
Among others, the panels will include:
M. Bachelet, United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights;
V. Gamba, UN Special Representative of the Secretary-General for Children and Armed Conflict;
F. Bensouda, Chief Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court;
K. Khan QC, Special Advisor and Head of the Investigative Team to Promote Accountability for Da’esh/ISIL crimes (UNITAD).
GRC is thrilled to participate in the Panel that will discuss the link between conflict and hunger, violence against children and the fight against sexual violence in times of war. Alongside GRC, the Panel will see the presence of:
