Sudan: Denying the Honor of Living

Al Bashir and the Sudanese government have been indiscriminately brutal in their conduct of the war in southern Sudan. The famine of 1986-89 was primarily caused by deliberate policies adopted by the SPLA and the Sudanese government. The Reagan and Bush administrations reacted with indifference to these human rights abuses.
